Just When You Think You've Heard It All ...


Here are two odd little news items that gave me pause:

The first concerned a fellow who passed away down under. Apparently the Australians really do mind their own business.

The second involves an interpretation of the Bible that goes well beyond what they used to do at the Methodist Sunday school ....

I keep a hacksaw nice and sharp just in case the mark of the beast appears on a part of my body.

The microwaving part is news to me. Way to utilize technology, buddy!

Wait until the implanting of microchips in hands and other various parts of people becomes more commonplace. I predict the Mark of the Beast to become a much larger issue before too long.

I want to see the guy who tries to remove the mark from his forehead. Hands? Pfff ... anyone can do a hand. Show me the forehead.

Thing is, somebody who really has the mark of the beast isn't going to get rid of it -- he's playing for the dark side.

Smart devil will hide it under the hair. Remember The Omen? Scary movie, back in its day.

My sometime-collaborator wrote a book once that was illustrated. The artist was apparently involved in a hardcore Christian sect that took the Bible very literally. When my collaborator and his co-writer/producer took the artist to the publisher -- Bantam -- they had to take him into the building via a side door so he wouldn't see the street address, which back then was 666 ...
