Sneakernet. We still use this in the U.S. -- I pushed a new website live for a Major Worldwide Corporation on Tuesday of last week. I did this by having a guy take a 4GB restore file to the colocation facility by driving it on over.
Dan Gambiera, it would figure that you would beat me to the punch on that one, though I must admit I had forgotten the particular RFC number and had to Google by "rfc carrier pigeon." Time to re-index the heap, I suppose.
I'm a full-time writer, not the rock singer. Mostly science fiction and fantasy. Some mystery/technothriller stuff; some animated TV, couple movie scripts in turnaround or waiting to get there. I've have been a student of silat under Guru Plinck for fifteen or so years. I play a little guitar.
