I got to see EC a couple weeks back at the United Center here in Chicago. Steve Winwood was playing with him (and had a stellar performance.)
Amazing always to compare his younger performance with his more recent. Quite different in some good and some bad ways.
Here's the review of the show. http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com/turn_it_up/2009/06/concert-review-eric-clapton-steve-winwood-and-buddy-guy-at-united-center.html Note that the highlight of the evening was definitely Buddy Guy's performance, followed closely by Winwood's solo of Georgia on organ.
I'm a full-time writer, not the rock singer. Mostly science fiction and fantasy. Some mystery/technothriller stuff; some animated TV, couple movie scripts in turnaround or waiting to get there. I've have been a student of silat under Guru Plinck for fifteen or so years. I play a little guitar.
