I think I see what you are getting at. Japanese society is so structured, it almost takes the fun out of playing a beautiful song. The other kids just rocked with it. My friend Zac writing "Gaijin Explorer" describes these revelations as he is teaching English and studying Aikido in Japan. Also Steve, Did you see the trailer for that Uke documentary I had up on Dojo Rat a few days ago? Really great stuff.

I think they are Korean. And they are pretty good.
I did see it as an interesting contrast, a couple of teenagers sitting on a sidewalk versus a more structured group of professional musicians.
