Back in the day, when I didn't feel like writing but wanted to do something creative, I decided to try my hand at scrimshaw.
Never got good at it, but I did a couple pieces that were okay. The images here are the faux-ivory grips on a S&W M-52 .38 Special mid-range wadcutter target pistol.
These are, The Shadow (top) and a copy of a Vaughan Bode cartoon, from Cheech Wizard.

Hello, I'm a translation student at Mons University (Belgium) and I've decided to translate Indiana Jones and the army of the dead for my Masters thesis. I can't find any way of contacting you other than this blog! It would be a real pleasure for me to contact you if I have any questions about the book. Thank you and have a nice day

Hello Steve,
I am an avid fan of your Matador universe novels. I have read other books by you as well. I recently repurchased all of them as ebooks. I noticed (as many commenters on amazon did as well) the poor quality of the formatting.
In reading your Author's note in the books, I realize why that is. It would take a pretty good sum to have the re-editted and formatted professionally.
For my personal use, I have editted and formatted all 11 Matador Universe novels. If you want them I can send them to you. I have not and will not give them to anyone else.
Sincerely, Dan "Kodiak" Goodwin

PS. If you do want them and like them, I would be willing to format other books for you in my spare time.
