And Speaking of Tarzan ...
Before the Hayes Commission gutted movies and made them clean enough to watch in Sunday school, nudity was no big deal. Maureen O'Sullivan, who played Jane, had a terrific underwater nude scene with Johnny Weismueller, in 1934:
