Waffles, chicken chunks in between the pair, smothered with chili. And delicious.
Health food? I said?
Why, yes. The waffles were buckwheat-cornmeal-flaxseed; the chicken was slow-roast rotisserie hormone-free, the skin removed; and the chili homemade, with turkey.
And besides that, I ate an apple, too ...
Well done! Sure hope you enjoyed every bite!

ReplyDeleteI wish more people ate that way! When I can, I opt for the pricey free-range organic meats. Organic veggies are a rip-off, but the meat is worth every penny. Free-range (if it's real free range, and not "access to free range") has a much healthier fat profile. More lovely omega acids.
Professionally speaking, the only change I would make to that meal would be more veggies. The apple was a good choice, maybe chop it up and add it to a salad with some raspberries and some olive oil... Hungry now. Off to the butcher I go...
Yumm!
ReplyDeleteapple!! ( i still have some of my fall stockpile of Asian Pears)
ReplyDeleteWaffles go in the top, SF comes out the fingers.
ReplyDeletePlease eat more waffles.
I heard Granny Smiths are great for the gall bladder.
