Say What?

This one is going to stir the martial arts pot some. I'm not insinuating anything here, you understand, just passing along a link ...

  1. A Chinese Tai Chi teacher in the US claimed that if you trained the wrong way, you became gay. I told my teacher we better watch out then, because my GF would not be pleased... :-)

  2. Well, you'd expect sports featuring muscular men, especially those where the players are mostly naked and oily to draw gay audiences -- same way that hetero men like to watch mostly naked women wrestling.

And you'd expect there to be some gay guys rolling or lifting -- more than a couple gay bodybuilders, around. I recall how one came out twenty years ago, Bob Paris, and how it was no big deal, since everybody already knew it.

Gay men aren't all effeminate nor does it mean they are physically weak -- when you see a dancer or an ice skater holding a partner overhead one-handed, or leaping nine feet into the air into a triple toe-loop, any such notion is silly.

Rock Hudson was a manly man who romanced dozens of women onscreen, and most of America never had a clue, he didn't show up on gay-dar.

There are a couple of other manly-men actors who swing that way still in the closet who won't come out because they are worried about how it will affect their careers.

On the other hand, some straight guys are so touchy about their masculinity and the worry they might be thought gay that they get hyperdefensive, and sometimes it's fun to pull their chains.

Oh, yeah, all the MMA guys are gay, didn't you know? Of course they aren't, but you never let truth stop a good chain-pulling ...

  3. This is so fucking true.

But you'd better watch what you say or they'll come and put you in the guard.

There's something increasingly "tom of finland" about the rashguards and shit that they are sporting now. BUT DON'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

    It's a gentleman's agreement, don't you know.
