Reading this blog is the first time I've ever heard of a Karambit. From the pictures I infer that it has less than a 2 1/2 inch blade (or very close). That would make it legal under almost all "knife laws" that I've ever heard of. Even as a child in high school I could carry a pocketknife if it had less than a three inch blade.
I bet the Karambit will be outlawed. After all....it's scary.
Kind of like an Assault Rifle, or a StreetSweeper or numerous other firearms which are no more powerful than say, a deer rifle.
What evil genius came up with that?
ReplyDeleteMock it all you want, but we all know one of your future characters (hopefully female) is going to have one of those. :P
ReplyDeleteIt's Viro's notion, blame him. And Mr. Photoshop ...
ReplyDeleteIt's the kinder, gentler Karambit
ReplyDeleteThey've started doing this with guns -- you can get them in colors, red, blue, pink.
ReplyDeleteHave a look:

But they're SCARY.
Must be banned.
See this is what I get for catching up in a burst. You have already Photochopped one up.
ReplyDeleteI still maintain that there should be kitty faces on the bolts/rivets.
I am thinking pink micarta, that will give the color verigations that you get with cut and beveled micarta only on the pink bits.
Still, it seems like I am missing something... there should be a way to work a bow tie into the design somewhere.
