Who Says Classical Guitar Can't be Popular?
Edgar Cruz, four million hits, "Bohemian Rhapsody." Basically, a vid lesson in how to play it.(Of course, the classical guitar newsgroup crucifies him for how awful his playing is ...)
I know that. But there are a bunch of snobs in classical guitar circles. There are guys there who will -- and do -- frequently point out how a concert guitarist who travels the world playing, has a slew of albums out, and teaches master classes, is holding his or her finger four degrees off where it should be.
Tickles me. Kind of guys who would tell Mohammed Ali his wrist wasn't perfect when the won the championship. Please.
Well To play an arrangement like that takes skill.
