Ears and Ears ...
So I took the tape off -- puppy was scratching mightily at it and I was worried about an infection.
Top image shows the results -- which is to see, the tape didn't help.
But if she leans back a little, you get the bottom image ...
What to do, what to do? Re-tape 'em? Or let nature take its course? Having made the effort, I can now tell dog folks that we tried and it didn't work. I'm leaning in that direction, weenie that I am ...
When we first got Papillon, her ears were always down, not shepherd-like at all. Occasionally she'd prick them up to listen at something-- typically the left one would go up and thr gith would be at about half-mast. Stayed that way for the first 4-5 years of her life.
ReplyDeleteThen we got Sev, whose ears stood up like TV antennas. After a while, we noticed that hers were coming up more often and going all the way up-- while his are now much more relaxed. Apparently there's some learning involved.
A simple injection should do it - three of sand, one of concrete
