Multiple plug-in flashlights so when the power goes out we can still navigate and make sure the sump is working. There was plenty of advance warning.<br /><br />Of course there are worst-case scenarios - a fencing club in NJ, BCAF, was flooded by a freak accident. They survived next to a canal for year without a problem.
