Hopefully it goes up by one movie soon to be made (crossed fingers)Edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16441344447548078615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29640480.post-33182184034024356182010-11-06T01:12:27.427-07:002010-11-06T01:12:27.427-07:00Payback was, if I recall correctly, a remake of Po...Payback was, if I recall correctly, a remake of Point Blank. Brian Helgeland (worked on LA Confidential's screenplay too) and Terry Hayes are credited with the Screenplay and Helgeland Directed - that's on the first movie "released". My understanding is Helgeland didn't want his name as director on that one. I liked the movie so much I bought the director's cut edition for the extras - boy was I surprised - it had a whole different 3rd act. Looks like Mel Gibson felt bad about changing the movie on Helgeland and paid for the release of Brian's version with the different or first 3rd act - however you want to score it. It was ok but not one of my favorite movies - talk about rewrites. In that case I think the changes were way for the better but that probably isn't the usual.Edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16441344447548078615noreply@blogger.com
