She came out during a Bob Dylan/Rolling Thunder Review show and did "Diamonds and Rust," with Dylan, and then Amazing Grace by herself, no instruments. Man, the woman had a voice.

Newton gets credit for the song. Zevon's music is great, even if he was a dick in person. Sometimes, the art is superior to the artist. It has to stand alone.Steve Perryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12079658447270792228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29640480.post-20301770368108619032007-12-03T11:39:00.000-08:002007-12-03T11:39:00.000-08:00I've got at least a dozen versions of Amazing Grac...I've got at least a dozen versions of Amazing Grace; my favorite, by a big margin, is the live, nearly a capella version by Joan Baez.

Newton gets slack he doesn't deserve, IMO. He continued the slave trade long after his "conversion."Daniel Keys Moranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12992599044462413412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29640480.post-45560752621150796792007-12-01T17:11:00.000-08:002007-12-01T17:11:00.000-08:00Not bad for an old white guy :-)You should maybe t...Not bad for an old white guy :-)

You should maybe think about doing it as a three part harmony sometime, I think that would be fun.

The pictures went well with the music.Mushtaq Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17987078771624481557noreply@blogger.com
